A very rare extinct cowrie, cypreae problematica, found many years ago in Sarasota Shell pit. Shell pit has long since closed and these shells are very hard to get today. Identified by the interesting "Whorl" at top of shell...this specimen still has some original enamel and shine even though it is thousands of years old! Mounted in a small blue shadowbox, ready to hang! [See same box with blue meg tooth]  Shell size aprox. 2 1/4 inches...Frame Size: 5 in. X 5 in.
