Displayed in a mahogany brown shadowbox is one of the most curious beetles found in the Amazon Rainforests.  A HUGE example of the "Longorn Beetle", a member of the Cerambycid beetle family.  This interesting beetle has a clever patern on it's wing covers to help it hide among the fallen leaves of the forest. It's jaws are powerfully strong and able to inflict a nasty bite.  The larvae are edible and considered a delicacy!  Large males are one of the largest beetles in the world, reaching lengths over 6 inches!
